5 Simple Ways To Boost Your Views On LinkedIn
LinkedIn is an increasingly popular platform for businesses across the UK. Since being taken over in 2017, there have been significant improvements in the usability of the platform, and businesses are using it now more than ever.
If you’re an avid LinkedIn user, you may have noticed that content views can fluctuate since they have implemented and adjusted the algorithm. In this article, I’m going to discuss 5 quick ways to boost the views on your LinkedIn posts – and it won’t take up much of your time!
Post high quality content that your audience wants to see!
This is content marketing 101, content must be inspiring, educational or entertaining. Basically, create the type of content your audience is genuinely interested in and will encourage them to engage. This is different for all audiences, and if you’re not sure it would be worth conducting a survey with your customers or asking your audience directly.
Engage with other peoples posts
Social media is called social media for a reason, it was built for us to be social. Instead of just posting your own content, leave a comment or a reaction on other peoples posts too. Join in conversations, support other businesses because, in turn, they will reciprocate.
Reply to the comments you do get
When you receive a comment on your post, don’t just like the comment and leave it like that. Reply in a thoughtful way to encourage conversations. This will encourage more engagement as well as pushing your post back into the newsfeed. Don’t respond to all comments at once, but drip feed them throughout the course of a day to increase visibility.
Increase your connections
Posts are sent out to a small percentage of your connections, so by increasing the number of people connected to you – it’s only natural that more people will see it. LinkedIn will increase your reach further depending on how many people are engaging from your first connections, if there aren’t many engagements there is no reason for them to increase the reach because it’s likely that others won’t engage too.
Have a chat in direct mail
Starting conversations in direct mail is a great way to build rapport with your audience. With new connections, start up a conversation introducing yourself and asking more about them – but don’t ever pitch in the first few messages unless they have requested to learn more about what you do. By building relationships, these connections are more likely to engage on your posts when they pop up in their news feed.
Encourage engagement
If you don’t ask, you don’t get is what my mother used to tell me. And this rings true for social media marketing too. Ask people to comment their thoughts on your post, simply by asking you can encourage people to comment. Another good way to encourage engagement is with polls – whether a standard poll or a reaction poll. These can be great ways to grow your audience but also receive useful data that could help you long term.
As you may have noticed, these tips are all based around being conversational. LinkedIn is basically an online version of networking and conversations are encouraged. By joining in others conversations and creating your own – you are on the fast track to building a highly engaged audience that will support your business.
