How to be more productive on Social Media

Is your Social Media useage PRODUCTIVE? I bet it’s not…

I speak to many people complaining that social media is a waste of time and hours are lost out of the day – but is this social media’s fault or our own?

I’d say a bit of both, but you can get into the habit of making social media work for you.

Right now, you may be used to using social media by scrolling the news feed, liking your friends’ post and putting the odd status up. But that time spent scrolling could actually do you a lot of favours.

What if, instead of seeing a ton of posts of friends complaining about dog poo (well that’s what my town’s like, lol) – you could be seeing content that teaches you something… inspires you to be a better you.. wouldn’t that be pretty awesome!

It’s not hard to do, and doesn’t usually take up a lot of time unless your account is a fair few years old.

Here are a couple of quick tips to make your time on social media more productive for you and your business.

? Snooze people whose posts aren’t benefitting you.
??Leave Groups you’re not active in and don’t provide you value
?Hide notifications that are of no interest
❌Unfollow spammy pages that aren’t going to help you reach your goals. You don’t need to read another Buzzfeed about your star sign traits.
✅Follow pages that are going to teach you something or help mouldy you into your best you.
? Hide irrelevant ads and videos that you are targeted by, this one has helped me clear my news feed a ton!
?Create conversation with those who add you, are they a potential lead or just randomly adding you?

Spend just an hour clearing up your social media presence. You’ll find yourself wasting less time scrolling and more time seeing content that will help you reach your goals.

Social media, when used correctly, not only can grow your business – it can nourish the mind.
